Aftercare

Healing takes time. Be patient, stay consistent, and reach out if you have any concerns.
Body Piercings

Healing your piercing properly is just as important as the piercing itself. Keep things simple, gentle, and consistent.

• Clean your piercing 1–2 times daily using a sterile saline spray
• Spray the front and back of the piercing to fully saturate the area
• Gently remove any buildup with a clean paper towel if needed
• Run warm water over your piercing in shower to rinse away debris
• Pat dry with a clean disposable towel

Important reminders:

• Do not twist, spin, or move your jewelry
• Avoid touching your piercing unless cleaning
• Do not sleep directly on the piercing
• Avoid harsh products like alcohol, peroxide, or ointments
• Some swelling, tenderness, or light discharge is normal

Continue aftercare until the piercing is fully healed, even if it looks fine on the outside.

Oral Piercings

• Rinse with water after eating or drinking
• Use an alcohol-free mouth rinse twice daily
• Maintain good oral hygiene

During healing:

• Swelling is normal. Cold drinks and foods can help
• Avoid smoking and alcohol
• Do not play with the jewelry
• Avoid sharing food or drinks

Extra Care Tips

• Clean when piercing feels irritated or after movement; exercise, etc.
• Warm showers can help loosen buildup
• Warm saline compresses may help if recommended

What to Avoid

• Cotton balls, dry Q-tips, or anything that sheds fibers
• Over-cleaning
• Touching your piercing unnecessarily
• Moving jewelry
• Submerging piercing in bodies of water. Especially during the initial healing period.

If swimming cannot be avoided:

• Keep exposure as brief as possible
• Rinse your piercing immediately after with clean water
• Follow up your normal saline aftercare
• May increase risk of irritation or infection
