Brian Nelson

Brian is one of only a few handpoke (stick-and-poke) tattoo artists in Washington, DC! He grew up in Texas where he began tattooing in 2023. Brian has since tattooed in Austin, Seattle, Oaxaca, and Pittsburgh! Since childhood, his inspirations have come mostly from the natural world. Some of his favorite things to tattoo are florals, botanicals, and critters! Think scientific illustration. His style relies heavily on stippling with black ink and as a yogi of 10 years, his tattooing practice is greatly informed by yoga, meditation, and symbolism.
